Huawei has make it official the launch date of Huawei P50 and has put an end to all the rumors, leaks and news. It will follow the Huawei P40 series and will have better camera with Kirin 9000 SoC and special features.
The official teaser by Weibo announces that Huawei P50 will be launched in China upcoming week at 7:30 PM local time.
P50 series will have three smartphones namely, P50, P50 Pro and P50 Pro+. Yu Richard, CEO of Huawei has mentioned that P50 series will have better imaging department. All these smartphones will also have pioneering mobile imaging technology.
P50 Pro
P50 vanilla, there will be inferior Sony IMX707 sensor for primary camera.
Now as per new reports, Huawei P50 will have triple camera. This will include Sony IMX 707 sensor, Sony IMX 600 sensor and lastly, a 3x telephoto camera.
The P50 Pro+ model will also have Snapdragon 888 processor because of chip shortages.
P50 Pro and P50 Pro+
According to earlier leaks, it was said that Huawei P50 series will have custom made Sony sensor namely the Sony IMX800. This will be a 1 inch mobile sensor, similar to Leica Phone 1 phone we recently saw. This sensor will have 50MP resolution with RYYB color filter as per reports. But this sensor will be seen only in P50 Pro and P50 Pro+.
As for P50 Pro, there is quad camera which includes IMX800 sensor, OV64A Omni Vision camera and 5x periscope camera with Time Of Flight (ToF) sensor.
Talking about internal features of the series, there is not as much information. But there will be 9000 SoC in P50 Pro and P50 Pro+.
P50 Pro will have curved OLED panel for display. P50 Pro+ will have waterfall curved display same as Xiaomi’s phone seen earlier this year.
Huawei has not officially revealed the specs and features of P50 series but it will be clear on July 29 when the phone will be launched through event and gibing all the details.
