- Hero MotoCorp a renowned name in Indian two-wheeler sector unveiled its three new 2018 models in India – the Super Splendor, Passion Pro and Passion XPro.
These updated models come with better styling, improved features, better graphics and company’s popular i3S technology (Idle-start-stop function). All these models are equipped with company’s in-house developed engines.The hero is yet to reveal the launch date and price. But we expect the prices to be revealed at the end of December 2017 or by the first week of January 2018.
Hero Super Splendor
The 2018 Hero Splendor now comes with new graphics on the tank and the side panels. The tail and headlamps are also revised. The muffler now comes up with chrome finish.
Super Splendors also offers a lot of comfort features like side stand indicator, Auto Headlamp On (AHO), larger under-seat storage compartment, revised seat and wider rear tyre.
Nothing has been changed in new Super Splendor in terms of the engine as it has same 124.5cc single-cylinder, air-cooled 4-stroke engine borrowed from Glamour. But now it will come with popular i3S technology.
The engine can make about 11.4 bhp at 7500 rpm and develops a torque of 11 Nm at 6000 rpm with a maximum speed of 94 kmph. Unlike its predecessor, it can now make more power and 6% more torque.
Hero Passion Pro
The Passion is Hero’s 2nd largest brand after Splendor and in 2018, Hero updated two of its most promising models. The new Passion Pro will also come with i3S technology and will produce 12% more torque than the previous version.
The updated Passion Pro has also
gone through similar changes like side stand indicator, new stylish graphics and new metallic paint scheme.
The key feature of Hero Passion Pro is under seat USB port for mobile charging, and a maintenance-free battery which makes it rough & tough according to Indian customers need.
The motorcycle is available on both disk and drum brake options. The vehicle also has a digital fuel gauge, trip metre, always on headlamps and many more other features.
New Passion Pro will also contain the same engine as earlier i.e.,110 cc single-cylinder engine that makes about 9.4 bhp at 7500 rpm and 9 Nm of peak torque at 5500 rpm. The new Passion Pro can reach from 0 to 60 kph in just 7.65 sec.
Hero Passion X Pro
Passion XPro is more premium version as compared with regular Passion Pro. It has slightly better features.
According to the company, the bike has been targeted towards youth and likewise contains features like sharper fuel tank, dual-tone coloured mirrors, stylish rear cowl, dual tone mirrors, LED taillamps, tank shrouds, and will be available in five dual-tone colour options.
Like its siblings, the bike will come up with i3s technology and also carried same digital fuel gauge, trip metre, always on headlamps.
It is also available in both drum and disc variants. Again engine is same, a 110cc single-cylinder motor that makes about 9.4 bhp at 7500 rpm and 9 Nm of torque at 5500 rpm.
